On Saturday, June 13, we were blessed with a visit to St. Tikhon Chapel by His Eminence Archbishop Daniel of Chicago and the Diocese of the Midwest. In addition to our priest, Father Joseph, His Eminence was joined by Archpriest Herman Kincaid, Chancellor of the Diocese and Archpriest Timothy Sawchak, Dean of the Kansas City Deanery.
We prayed a Moleben of Thanksgiving together, and afterwards, had a lenten potluck meal together where we had a Q&A session with His Eminence. Many of the topics were about how to grow our chapel community and about diocesan initiatives to help make sure there are enough priests, deacons, and catechists for the diocese.
After the Q&A, His Eminence traveled to Lincoln, NE, to visit our mother parish, St. John of Kronstadt. More about Archbishop Daniel’s visit can be read here.
